"many illegal things"


i have done many illegal things
this is one of them i have
partied too long to laugh at
my own rancid suffering strung
out too long i have evaded
officers in the black of the
night and i have hurt
myself to feel alive i try
i have done many illegal things
this is one of them while
he feigns power i feign calm
you see if i followed your
direction i fear i'd end
up like you just a semblance
of order when no one cares
dare i stay, say what i have
done? To you? The prosocuting
army? i have stolen minor
things made major by my
tucking of them secretly i've
lead boys into my bed where
all the time i tried to
just lead them in my head
my hurt no one understands
i dread the morning drama
as one who sucks on the
papers and drains the bottles
dreads coming down i'm
coming down drowning in
despair because no one
seems to care that
i have done many illegal things
this is one of them
how can you stand
self righteous and fight
as if this is something
i alone have mastered
the art of looking you
in the face and lying
because you'd sooner
send me away then see
what you have done to me
which has caused me to do
many illegal things.
